Print of the Custom House, Dublin
Print of the Custom House, Dublin presented to His Excellency, the President of Ireland Dr Patrick Hillery, date unknown. The Custom House was designed by the Architect James Gandon. Started in 1781, it took ten years to build, and cost £200,000. It was destroyed by the irregulars during the Civil War in 1922, and many historic documents were lost.
