Di Docia Tea Set
This Manifattura Di Docia tea set was presented to Maeve Hillery by Livia Andreotti, wife of seven times Italian Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti, during the State Visit of President Patrick Hillery to Italy in October 1989.
In November 2002 Guilio Andreotti was convicted of ordering the 1979 murder of a Mino Pecorelli, a journalist who has exposed Andreotti’s links to the Mafia. The conviction was later overturned but accusations of Andreotti’s Mafia connections remained.
