Memorial Card

John Breen was 22 in April 1920, when he was shot dead in his native Kilmihil during a raid on an RIC patrol.

He became an active member of the IRA in 1917 with the formation of the Kilmihil Company and became one of its first officers.

A monument to his memory has been erected in Kilmihil.
