Statement/Affadavit, 1843 This Statement is in relation to a case between David Bourke (Plaintiff) and Charles Tavelle (Defendant). Bourke had been sent by Tavelle to Galway with a diving bell and machinery with a guarantee that employment would await him there. The employment didn't materialise. When Bourke arrived home Tavalle denied he had guaranteed Bourke's employment. This was found amongst the possessions of Agnes Bourke, Kilkee, and was taken to the U.S. by her nephew upon her death in the 1960's. Ref: 2002.53 |
