Lunch Invitation, From UK Government

This invitation to Dr and Mrs Patrick Hillery for lunch came from Her Majesty’s Government in the United Kingdom on 17th July 1975.

Prior to becoming President of Ireland, Dr Patrick Hillery served as Ireland’s first European Commissioner. It was in this capacity that Dr Hillery was invited to the luncheon, as it was held in honour of Commissioners and Senior Officials of the European Community at Lancaster House, St James, in London.
