Heritage Education Week at Clare Museum

Heritage Education Week will run at Clare Museum from 23rd-26th March, and it is targeted at primary school children in Clare from 4th to 6th class.

The purpose of heritage education week is to generate greater interest and appreciation of our heritage in primary schools in a practical and pupil friendly way.

It is hoped in turn that teachers and pupils will be encouraged to leave the classroom to enjoy their local heritage at first hand, and in the long term come to identify Clare Museum as a valuable educational resource.

During the week, a speaker will give two 30 minute classes daily at 10.30 am and 11.30 am, with a different speaker and a different topic each day. Places are limited to 35 pupils for each class, and bookings can be made by calling the curator at 065 68 233 82. Why not combine an education week class with a visit to the exhibition?

ADMISSION TO THE CLASSES AND TO THE EXHIBITION IS FREE TO SCHOOL CHILDREN AND TEACHERS
