Heritage Education Week at Clare Museum
5th – 8th April 2005
Heritage Education Week will run at Clare Museum from 5th - 8th April, and it is targeted at primary schools in Clare from 4th to 6th class. The purpose of heritage education week is to generate greater interest and appreciation of our heritage in primary schools in a practical and pupil-friendly way.
It is hoped in turn that teachers and pupils will be encouraged to leave the classroom to enjoy their local heritage and in the long term come to identify Clare Museum as a valuable educational resource.
During the week, a speaker will give two 30 minute classes daily at 10.30 am and 11.30 am, with a different topic each day. Places are limited to 35 pupils for each class, and bookings can be made by calling the curator at 065-6823382. It is essential to book early to avoid disappointment. Why not combine an education week workshop with a visit to the exhibition?
ADMISSION TO THE CLASSES AND THE EXHIBITION IS FREE TO SCHOOL CHILDREN AND TEACHERS.
