Heritage Education Week at Clare Museum
8th - 11th April 2008
Heritage Education Week will run at Clare Museum from the 8th to 11th April and is targeted at primary schools, particularly 4th to 6th classes. The purpose of Heritage Education Week is to generate greater interest and appreciation of our heritage in a practical and pupil friendly way.
It is hoped that in turn teachers and pupils will be encouraged to leave the classroom to enjoy their local heritage and come to identify Clare Museum as a valuable education resource.
During the week, a speaker will give two classes daily starting at 10.30a.m. and 11.30a.m. with a different topic each day. Some of the workshops will be 45 minutes in duration while others will be 30 minutes in length. Places are limited to 35 pupils for each workshop and bookings can be made by calling the curator at 065-6823382 or by email at email@example.com. It is essential to book early to avoid disappointment.
