The state visits of the Hillery Presidency will be the subject of a major exhibition at Clare Museum this winter.
Clare-born Patrick Hillery was President of Ireland from 1976-1990, serving two terms in office. During that time he undertook numerous state and official visits abroad and received heads of state visiting Ireland. Photographs, documents and gifts from those trips will be at the heart of the exhibition, and will feature objects linked to Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II, ancient Jerusalem and the Apollo landings and many others.<< Press Cuttings
