Museum Hosts Appliqué Evening

On Thursday, there will be an appliqué evening at Clare Museum with Eileen O’Brien from 6pm.

Eileen is a founder member of the Clare Crafts Association and will demonstrate how the ancient art of appliqué can be used to make interesting, fun and functional household items. Booking is essential.

Also taking place in the museum this month is Science Week which will take place from November 15th to 18th. There will be a talk on the changing face of global warming on Wednesday, November 16th with ecologist John Murphy. On Thursday, archaeologist Graham Hull will talk about the science of his profession. Tours are available to families and school groups at 10am and 3pm by advance booking with Clare Museum.

Saturday, November 19th, will see a continuation of the Clare Museum’s series of Saturday afternoon movies with Romeo and Juliet showing from 2pm. No booking is required.
