Delegates from museums all over the country are to set to arrive in Ennis next March for their spring seminar. The successful application by Clare Museum curator John Rattigan, will see the annual seminar return to Ennis for the first time in over 20 years. The theme for the event is Irish heritage.
Clare Museum, which was established in 2000, has one of the most modern permanent exhibitions in the country and includes the largest collection of objects ever loaned from the National Museum of Ireland. According to Mr. Rattigan, the awarding of the seminar to Ennis signals of the arrival of Clare Museum on the national stage”.
The Irish Museums Association is dedicated to promoting the interests of its members and its seminar provides an opportunity to debate items of relevance to the body.
