Saturday Movies at Clare Museum

Clare Museum is inviting people to go to the movies with the launch of a season of free films to be shown at the Ennis museum on Saturdays at 2pm. As well as showing the films, there will be discussions on themes and cinematography relating to each film. Most of the films are on the Leaving Certificate English syllabus and schools can book for midweek showings at 065-6823382 or email@example.com
The first film will be on October 15th, Guns in the Heather, directed by Robert Butler and stars Glenn Corbett, Alfred Burke, and Kurt Russell. The Walt Disney movie was shot around Ennis, Clarecastle, and Newmarket-on-Fergus and is a wild romp through late 1960s Ireland with two school friends being pursued by spies from an unknown state.
Other films to be shown are Titus on November 5th; Romeo and Juliet on November 12th; Playboy of the Western World, on November 19th; My Left Foot, on November 26th; The Birds, on December 3rd; Billy Elliot, on December 10th; Inside I’m Dancing, on December 17th; The Truman Show, on January 7th; A Room with a View on January 14th; Twelve Angry Men, on January 21st; Much Ado About Nothing, on January 28th; The Constant Gardener, February 4th; Sin City, on February, 11th; Macbeth, February 18th; and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, on February 25th.
