Roughan Hill Collection
In 1994 an enclosure
sounding several structures
was discovered on Roughan Hill in the Burren.
Excavations in 1995 revealed that the site was
the settlement of a Final Neolthic\Early Bronze
Age (2,400 – 2,000 BC) farming community.
The objects listed
below were discovered during
excavation and have been generously loaned to
Clare Museum by the Irish Antiquities Division of
the National Museum of Ireland.
