Canon

This cannon was salvaged from the wreck of the Edmond, a coffin ship carrying emigrants that foundered off Kilkee in the mid-19th century.

Although many of the three hundred emigrants were saved, about one hundred, many of them women and children were still on board when the ship was smashed to pieces.
