Tradraighe. Clonloghan Parish As far as can be ascertained, no patron saint existed for this parish. The church is very much ruined; neither its name nor that of the parish itself has any connexion with an ecclesiastical origin. Clonloghan signifies merely the plain of the chaff. The only other object of antiquity besides the church, found in the parish, is an old castle now wholly demolished, the property, in 1580 of Donogh Mac Clancy. |
