Description of site:
This site is not marked in on any editions of the O.S. Sheets. Locals know this as a burial mound (cairn), though little now remains (refer to site section number 9, volume 1). It is quite possible (probable?) that the loose stones were removed and used in the construction of local field boundaries and roads.

The above cited section shows one the nature of the site. In the north-south section occurs a number of small stone mounds. In the east-west section two (individual) stones are visible.

Towards the centre of the site one finds a number of stones scattered around. Five of these are spaced apart, in a roughly north-south line. Three small upright stones, about ½ metre each in height, occur in the cairn to the south-west.
