The records show an amazing number of children who transferred from other schools to Lack school. The following list illustrates the range of schools from which transfers occurred:

The explanation for some of the transfers may be due to the fact that it was common practice for children to live with elderly relatives. In addition it was common for children to be adopted in the area. This may account for some of the movement.
