Description of site:
Here we have the site of a standing stone which is not marked
in on the relevant O.S. sheets. The smoothness of the edges show that cattle
use it as a scratching post and this may be the reason why it was erected.
This, of course, is a problem one faces with all such type features. The
standing stone itself is 1.75 metres high, by a width of c. ½ metre
on each of its four sides. It is facing roughly north-south by east-west.
