Part 2: Chapter 15: Kilnasoolagh Parish: Latoon North Townland
Description of site: As stated above this is a single (stone) walled site. The actual wall, though in a poor condition, can be traced over most of the site. In a crumbled state its width now varies between 5 – 6 metres. As regards height, the maximum is almost ¾ metre in the northern area but the average over the remainder of the site, where it can be seen, centres on one third of a metre. Due to the nature of the vegetation cover I could find no evidence of an entrance or any other feature. A combination of field observation and map work suggests that this site has a north-south diameter of 25 metres and an east-west one of 20 metres plus.
