Description of site:
This stonefort is in a very poor condition due to the nature of the vegetation cover. At other sites we noted the presence of a heavy covering along the single wall (e.g. at Granaghan Beg A). However in the case of this site such a covering extends over the full stonefort, wall area and interior. This has made a full examination of both areas very difficult. In fact the covering over the interior was so heavy that it was not possible to enter and examine this particular area.

Where the single stone wall was visible it averaged about 65 cm in height by 3 metres in width. The maximum height was almost 1 metre, to the west. Based on map work this site has a circular shape with the north-south and east-west internal diameters centring on 28 metres each.

No other points of interest were noted at this site which is to the east of Caherkine Lough.
