Part 2: Chapter 8: Feenagh Parish: Deerpark Townland

Site C: STANDING STONE

Below the previous mentioned site, (i.e. Site B) to the north-east is a standing stone which has a maximum height of 1.80 metres and a width of 1.45 metres.


Deerpark Townland: The eastern (66%) section of this townland, which contains the sites dealt with previously, is in Feenagh Civil Parish (Sixmilebridge – Kilmurry R.C. Parish). The south-western (33%) part is in Bunratty Civil Parish (Newmarket-on-Fergus R.C. Parish). The latter part contains no sites of archaeological interest.
