M.A. O’Hair, a resident of Iowa City, engaged in the practice of law; was born May 14, 1844, County Clare, Ireland. Came to America and landed in New York City July 4, 1840. Settled in Iowa in 1866. He attended the State University of Iowa, law department six months, and was admitted to practice law at Muscatine Iowa, June 6, 1878, and began the practice of law in Iowa City that year, in partnership, with W.F. Conklin. He was married Feb 19, 1873, to Miss Mary Beatty of Hillsdale, Ill. They have one child named Grace. He is a member of Social Lodge No 231, A.F.A.M. Millersburg, Iowa County, Iowa. He is a democrat in politics.
