Canon Island, also known as Inisgad, is one of a group of islands in the River Fergus estuary, east of Killadysert. The gravestones transcribed here are located within or beside the 12th century Augustinian abbey on the island. The burials include people for the neighbouring islands of Deer, Low and Horse Islands.
