1623 Sir John MacNamara 1623. Sir John MacNamara. He was granted Mountallon and Ardskeagh (Broadford), 22nd Feb., 1620, and got licence to hold fairs at the latter place, Nov. 11, 1627.[28] Lieutenant Dowling was tried for hanging two fools belonging to the Earl of Thomond and Sir John MacNamara as vagrants, May, 1606.[29] MacNamara died 18th May, 1632, leaving no issue, and was succeeded by his nephew, Thady.[30] |
