Chapter 15. Footnotes 1. These are obviously the rents payable to the Earl of Thomond and to MacNamara Reagh, as chiefs. 2. Edward White was Clerk of the Council of the Province of Connaught, in which Thomond was then included. 3. Agard must have been owner of these lands in the character of a mortgage. His tomb is in Christ Church, Dublin, and the Latin epitaph states that he was “Primarius regiónum O’Brien et O’Tola.” 4. See ante, page 251. 5. I cannot understand what flores serè means. |
