Location and Brief Description:
Located three miles from Ennis on main Ennis Limerick Road, Clare Castle was the shipping port for Ennis and mid clare in pre-war days. Boats up to 700 tons can dock there. The dock has extensive coal stores. It is a neat, fairly well kept village. Parks, Gardens and Recreation Grounds.
