Location and Brief Description:
Situated on the Loop-Head Peninsula - 3 mls. W. of Carrigaholt and 10
mls. S.-W. of Kilkee - Cross may boast of being the nearest Clare village
to America. It consists of a R.C. Church, a school, a P.O., two licensed
premises and several private dwellings, which, with a few exceptions,
are thatched single storey houses.
Brief comments on water supply and sewerage:
Water is used from spring wells. There is one pump only in care of
Clare Board of Health - no reservoir. No sewerage system.

NOTE: This is a beautiful licensed hotel, prettily situated at Kilbaha
by the Shannon. No guests are kept here, but it is a noted house for
tea parties. Large parties spend the evening at Haeirs - where free
dancing is available in the spacious Ballroom. Table tennis is also
provided. Meals are given. Bathing and diving facilities just in front
of hotel.
