Location and Brief Description:
Large village situated on a hill with the river Graney flowing through to the Shannon. It is on the main Killaloe - Portumna road being about 12 miles from the former. It is of great interest to the sportsman. Fishing both on Lough Derg and river Graney and good shooting are within easy reach.

Thomond Hotel, 5 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Not Licensed. This is a very fine hotel and is very well run. It is a new hotel and I believe the proprietress wrote you.
Duggans Hotel, 8 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Licensed. It was a fine hotel but is gone down.
