Clare County Library acknowledges the kind co-operation of the Department of the Environment, Heritage & Local Government, in allowing us to use the data, including co-ordinates and classification, relating to the monuments featured on the maps. The Department is fully aware that there are errors in the coordinates and classifications of some of the points, and is currently undertaking a review of every monument in the country to correct these inaccuracies. As can be imagined this review will be ongoing for a number of years, with different counties being made available at different dates. The data in relation to the monuments on this website is provided solely for historical research purposes.
