Anam Cara is open all year round to novice as well as experienced writers and artists. We require only that they come with a project in mind, having done the necessary advance planning and preparation to work on that project.
The weekly rate for a private working room and bath, with access to the common area and including three meals a day, is £300 per person. Residents could also book the two bedroom flat exclusively and prepare their own meals. The flat has a sitting room with a fireplace, a fully – equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry facilities, and access to the Jacuzzi and sauna, the rate is £600 per week to be shared by up to four people.
Beara is a rural and hauntingly beautiful part of Ireland kept temperate by the Gulf Stream. My goal is to provide the creature comforts, the ambience, and the daily working schedule that each resident needs to move as quickly as is possible into his or her own creative process.
