AIM OF THE SCHEME
The Clare Arts Office Artists in Schools Programme is designed to create
opportunities for artists and schools to work together over a specific
duration of time. We favour projects that are innovative, unique and
that foster creativity, skills development and an introduction to the
language used in art making. We also encourage projects that introduce
children to experience the cross disciplinary nature of the arts, projects
which connect ideas and art making to other subjects e.g. history, science,
the environment, local, national and global cultures and traditions.
Projects can include curated talks and tours.
The Artists in Schools Residency is a vibrant arts and education programme
funded by the Arts Council of Ireland.
Artists in Schools Residencies

Points to note when making an application:
- No school is automatically entitled to a residency.

may assist you in this regard.
Projects will be assessed according to the following criterias below.
- Quality and innovation of the concept/idea for the
proposal.
- Quality of the artists work and track record as demonstrated
