I would promote individual and group learning where pupils respond sensitively and questioningly to their natural environment by feeling and thinking more clearly about visual and other qualities in their immediate surroundings. A slide presentation etc. would happen at this stage.

I would help pupils to feel an empathy with nature and to play a more creative, participating role in shaping and understanding their environment, whether Natural or Built.

This would be achieved by experimenting with, and using, different media/materials etc.
