Artist in Schools Scheme 2013 – National Famine Commemoration
On Sunday, May 12th, 2013 Kilrush, Co.Clare hosted the National Famine Commemoration.
To coincide with this event, Clare Arts Office ran a themed Artist in Schools Scheme whereby schools in the West Clare area worked with professional artists to explore famine themes and depict famine scenes through the use of creative media.
The scheme culminated in an exhibition at the Quay Mills, Kilrush which received huge public interest from the local community and visitors alike.
