Travel Arrangements: Sara is willing to travel throughout the county. Her schedule is flexible and can be adapted to the needs of the school.
Project Information:

Sara enjoys tailoring an art program to the specific needs of a school or class. The following art activities are some possibilities.
Collaborative Murals: She leads students through a series of creative activities which culminate in the collaborative development and painting of an original mural based on the children's art work. This process-orientated activity develops co-operation between students and is a great tool for exploring classroom curriculum in more depth. In the course of the project, students learn drawing and painting, creative brainstorming, two-dimensional composition and discussion of visual narrative.
Artist Techniques and Skills: These lessons teach the students new techniques (ie- 3-D illusion, linear perspective drawing, abstraction, facial proportions). Many curricular links to science and history.
Art History and Art Practice:
She structures these art activities around an historical artist's work, simultaneously teaching art history, interpretation and technique.
Examples :
Vincent Van Gogh -- Theory and Emotion of Colour
Claude Monet -- Impressionists and Pointillism
Chuck Close -- Photorealism and Large-scale Image Transfer

Preferred Age Groups: She most enjoys working with students from 4-14 years of age, but will consider projects with any group.
