Tamasine would like to set to music and hopefully song, a traditional Irish folk/fairy tale to be chosen by the children at the start of the project.
She aims to teach the children to read music and write simple tunes for whistle, voice or whatever instruments are available, culminating in a production for peers and parents. Use of percussion instruments, if necessary how to make percussion instruments.
Experimentation of sounds and how different tunes/sounds make you feel. Learn how to express feelings/moods through music/sound. Composing music for characters/situations. Part of the end production is to make set/costumes/art to accompany the story and to work with teachers using art as part of the project.
