Arts & Disability Awards Ireland

The Arts and Disability Forum, in association with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and An Chomhairle Ealaíon, is offering Arts and Disability Awards to creative artists with disabilities.

The awards are designed to assist and develop the creative potential of people with disabilities in all art forms, stimulating quality arts activities and helping to overcome barriers to accessing the arts throughout the island of Ireland.

Applications are invited from individuals and collectives working in any creative discipline in supporting artistic projects, eg., residentials, training, support, materials, job shodowing, personal assistance and travel.

Awards will be given on the bases of artistic excellence, innovation, track record, potential and artistic need or benefit ofaward at this time.  The total amount available is £7,000, with a maximum level of award set at £1,000.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 16 June 2000.  Application forms are available in standard print, Braille, large print, floppy disc and audio tape on request from:
