European Academy for Young Choral Conductors
3-13 May 2001, Cork
The European Academy for Young Choral Conductors will be held in Cork, in 2001, providing
a superb opportunity for young Irish conductors to develop their skills alongside their
European contemporaries. The Academy provides masterclass tuition for active
participants from around Europe, and also welcome passive participants who wish to
observe and/or sing in the choir-in-residence.The working language of the choir is English
and conductors applying must be not more than 30 years old. Completed application
forms must reach the Cummann Náisiúnta na gCór offices by February 16th, 2001.
European Youth Choir 2001
30 July - 12 August 2001.
The European Youth Choir is a high-quality chamber choir with 40-45 singers.The 8th
session will be held in Scandinavia in 2001. The participation fees are c.£200 which
include food, accommodation and transportation during the tour. The working language
of the choir is English and participants must be from 18 - 26 years old. Completed
application forms must reach the Cummann Náisiúnta na gCór offices by February 16th,
2001.
World Youth Choir 2001
July 19th - August 14th, 2001.
Participants must look after their own traval arrangements, but accommodation, transport
and materials are provided during the time in Venezuala. The working language of the choir
is English and participants must be from 17 - 26 years old. Completed application
forms must reach the Cummann Náisiúnta na gCór offices by February 16th, 2001.
