| A new network is being set up for all artists who are interested in, currently engaged in or have been involved in participatory and collaborative arts practice in the Arts & Health or Arts & Disability sectors in County Clare. It is open to all artists based in or working in the county. The Network is artist led and is being set up by 4 volunteer co-ordinators who work in participatory and collaborative arts in the context of Arts and Health or Arts and Disability, all of whom attended the Arts and Health series run by The Clare Arts Office earlier in the year. The organisation aims to promote Best Practice in the areas of participatory and collaborative arts in the disability and health areas. What the Network offers its members: 1. An online communication forum will be set up for the members of the network with the potential to exchange information, views, experiences and job opportunities. 2. The Network co-ordinators will organise meetings for all members (and guests) four times a year which will offer from the following:
There may be other opportunities for members to meet beyond these four events. 3. Networking opportunities and continued contact and support for members. Your ideas are welcomed, e.g. issues for discussion,
creative workshops and what artists want to get from the organisation.
As this is a voluntary, artist run network, we would hope that members would also offer to be involved as part of the co-ordinators group in the future. Please e-mail arts@clarelibrary.ie
for an application to join or with any queries. |
