Criteria and Artists’ information for 2008 Clare Graduates Exhibition
Open Submission, June 2008

Opening Friday, June 27th

1. Works must be delivered to Glór on Friday, 20th & Monday, 23rd June. Glór is open from 10am – 5pm. Works delivered any later than the above dates cannot be considered for exhibition
2. It would be helpful for graduates to email images and details of their submission material to info@glor.ie in advance of the drop-off date. Please enter ‘Clare Graduates Exhibition’ in the subject line. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that they will not be deleted. PLEASE EMAIL DETAILS IN ADVANCE DURING THE WEEK BEGINNING TUESDAY, 3RD JUNE
3. A Maximum of 2 works may be submitted
4. Works must be new or recent
5. All works must be accompanied by a Safe & Secure hanging system. Freestanding, 3 dimensional and multi media artworks are very welcome
6. Works must be of a reasonable size – please see www.glor.ie for an outline of the gallery dimensions
7. All works must be for sale
8. Works must be from 2008 MA or BA Graduates who are from Co. Clare
9. All submissions should be properly wrapped. Glór and Clare Arts Office cannot accept liability for poorly wrapped works

Details of Works

Artists must include the following details. Details should be taped to the packaging.

1. Name & Contact Details of Artist
2. Title
3. Medium
4. Sale Price, i.e. the price that you expect to receive for the work, plus 30%
   (please note that Glór will deduct 30% commission from any sales)
5. Dimensions in CMS (H x W)
6. Edition (If Applicable)
7. A detailed CV or Catalogue must be supplied with the submission
8. An Artist’s Statement must be supplied with the submission
   (for catalogue purposes – if selected)

Assessment of Works

1. Works will be assessed by an independent panel of adjudicators. The decision of the selection panel is final.

Artists will be notified in writing by Glór of the status of their submission
as soon as possible after selection has taken place.

The Artist Agrees to abide by the following Terms & Conditions:

• Glór will deduct 30% commission from any work sold
• Glór will organise the Opening Evening Reception
• The Opening will take place on Friday, June 27th
• The Exhibition will hang in Glór from the opening date (Friday, June 27th) to the closing date (TBC)
• Works may not be removed from the exhibition while it is open to the public
• Glór will co-ordinate the Marketing & Publicity for the Exhibition
• Glór will be responsible for the installation, placement, hanging and lighting of the exhibition
• Artists with complex hanging arrangements may be called to assist in the hanging/installation of their work
• Glór will insure all of the works while they are on the premises and will handle all works in our possession with due care
