Rules for Entry


Rule 1 – Entrants
On the occasion of the "Europe, a common heritage" Campaign, the Council of Europe is organising a European photography competition open to professional or amateur photographers alike.

Rule 2 – Theme
The theme chosen for the competition is the Campaign theme "Europe, a common heritage". The Campaign is designed to promote a broad definition of heritage, encompassing both the natural and the cultural heritage: the built environment, objets d’art, natural resources, heritage sites, landscapes and the non-material heritage.

Rule 3 – Deadline for entries
Deadline for entries: 31 May 2000 (date as postmark).

Rule 4 – Jury
An international jury made up of seven members – professional photographers and heritage specialists – will meet in June 2000 to select the best entries.
