The first international juried Exhibition of Postcards of Textile Art will be run by
Telos, a worldwide textile art network, in 2001. Submissions are invited of printed
postcards with a reproduction of textile art printed on one side (NOT stitched/woven
felted art pieces in the shape of a postcard). The postcards mush have been printed
since 1/1/1997 and 4 copies of each card are required to enter. The winning cards
will be those which n the opinion of the judges who excellence of textile art combined
with high quality photography and printing. Jurors are Keiko Kawashima, Director of
Lyoto International Contemporary Textile Art Centre, Japan; Dery Timmer, Textile Plus
Magazine, Holland; Janet De Boer, Editor, Textile Fibre Forum magazine,
Australia.
Prizes: 1st Prize US$300, 2nd Prize US$125 3rd Prize US$75. The exhibition will take
place in venues from Japan, Australia, UK, Holland during 2000-2001 and will be shown on
the Telos website. Results will be announced in mid-December. Deadline for

The new large scale arts facility in Armagh, The Market, is organising the exhibition programme for its new exhibition space. The space is approx. 30'x30' with a ceiling 20' high.
