Windows Publications are again running a poetry competition, this time for students no older than 18. First prize is £50. Other prizes include merit certificates and books. The competition is open to all between the ages 10 and 18 years. Students may enter poems in English or Irish. Poems should be neatly written or typed in Irish or English and should not previously have won prizes in any competition. Competitors are asked not to put their name and address on their entries (the student's name and address together with the titles of the poems should appear on a separate sheet and be placed in a sealed envelope). Send entries too: Editors, Windows Poetry Competition, Auburn, Stagella, Cavan, Co Louth. An award ceremony will take place in Cavan the following May; students will be asked to read their work.
