for Submissions
Glór in association with Clare Arts Office are hosting an exhibition
of ‘Works
on paper’ on a theme of ‘Clare’ for Summer 2006. The
exhibition of small scale work is open to artists from all over Ireland
and will be selected by a committee made up of a curator and professional
artists. The diversity of the artists’ response to the theme and
the diversity of materials used on paper promises to make for an exciting
and stimulating show. All works are for sale and we are keen to receive
Drawings, Watercolours, Acrylics, Collage and Photography in particular.
Drop
off Date & Gallery Requirements
1.
Works must be delivered to glór on Monday 19th & Tuesday 20th
June. Glór is open from 10am–5pm. Works delivered any later
than the above dates cannot be considered for exhibition.
2.
A Submission fee of €10.00 applies Per WorkSubmitted
3.
A Maximum of 3 works may be submitted
4.
Works must be new or recent
5.
All works must be accompanied by a Safe & Secure hanging system
6.
Works must not be larger than 1m square
7.
All works must be for sale
8.
All submissions should be properly wrapped. Glór and Clare Arts
Office cannot accept liability for poorly wrapped works.

must include the following details. Details should be taped to the packaging.

Total Price (please note that glór will add 30% commission to this
price)

Edition (If Applicable)

A detailed CV or Catalogue must be supplied with the
submission
Assessment
of Works
1.
Works will be assessed by an independent panel of adjudicators led by
a professional curator
2.
The decision of the selection panel is final.
Artists
will be notified in writing by glór of the status of their submission
as soon as possible after selection has taken place.
The
Artist Agrees to abide by the following Terms & Conditions:
- Glór
will deduct 30% commission from any work sold
- Glór
will organise the Opening Evening Reception
- The
Opening will take place on Wednesday 28th June 2006
- The
Exhibition will hang in glór for the summer period.
- Glór
will co-ordinate the Marketing & Publicity for the Exhibition
- Glór
will be responsible for the installation, placement, hanging and lighting
of the exhibition.
- Glór
will insure all of the works while they are on the premises and will
handle all works in our possession with due care
