Tyrone Guthrie Bursary 
 

The County Arts Office is pleased to offer a bursary to an artist to spend two weeks at the internationally renowned artists' retreat, the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Co. Monaghan.

Artists of all disciplines may apply - musicians, writers, visual artists etc.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is April 30th, 2007.

Guidelines for Bursary from The Arts Office of Clare County Council:

  1. The bursaries are open to practitioners in all artforms. Applications from outside of the visual arts are particularly welcome.
  2. Applicants should be born or domiciled with Clare and should be able to demonstrate a close affinity with the county.
  3. Applicants should show significant achievement in their chosen field.
  4. References or other forms of support from established figures in the arts may be required at the discretion of the Arts Office.
  5. Applicants should state clearly and concisely what they wish to accomplish during their stay at Annaghmakerrig.

The chosen candidate must take up the residency with 12 months of being awarded the bursary.

A written report on the residency must be submitted to the Arts Office no later than one month after the bursary is complete.
