The Creative Writer’s Workshop is a discovery – not a lesson. A technique never forgotten that establishes writing and thinking creatively.
Tap into your creativity this Autumn, enhance your imagination and learn a new way of thinking!! Partaking in The Creative Writer’s Workshop will unblock all those writing and thinking blocks, and guide you into the art of writing creatively. This workshop is tutored in two parts, over weekends, 10am to 3pm each day. Please refer to the workshop content & dates for Part 1 & 2 in Clare this Autumn.
Workshop Part 1 Content
The Creative Writer’s Workshop Part 1 has been tutored with great success
to hundreds of both new and established Writers as well as Artists, Teachers,
Young Adults and Children throughout Ireland.
Drawing upon the
right side of the brain, the workshop uses complimentary methods of education
and
learning techniques that explore, through a series
of linked exercises, creative ways to stimulate and discover the writer within.
These exercises evoke and develop the imagination while enhancing the writer’s
unique writing voice. As well as drawing upon the elements of writing creatively,
the writer also learns throughout the workshop various ways to access life
experiences and how to creatively translate those experiences into works for
potential story development. All of the exercises which are fun to do, can
be used on an ongoing basis to support fiction, short story writing, poetry
and other writing genres.
Who should attend: This workshop is not just for writers’ – but
for anyone interested in the creative process and how to think creatively.
It is a powerful tool for imaginative thinking.
Workshop Part 2 Content
This workshop is designed for participants who want to focus more deeply upon
the dynamics and depths of story creation as well as concentrating upon further
exploration into creativity and imagination – both individually and
collectively. The workshop includes additional right brain exercises that
will strengthen the individual thinking process, while the participant gains
a deeper understanding of how to source their creativity and imagination
through right brain thinking skills. Participants will build upon the elements
of story and write a short story throughout the workshop.
Who should attend: Participants who have completed Part 1 of the Workshop,
and are now ready to explore story creation and the elements of story writing
in depth. You do not need a story concept to attend this workshop. Bring your
journal from Part 1 for creative continuity.
