The 84 choir members will be giving a performance in Dublin, and one in Ballyvaughan, and the proceeds will go to Ballyvaughan National School and the Ballyvaughan Christmas Task Force who are organizing Ireland’s first outdoor Christmas Market.
Don’t slip into hibernation mode yet – this autumn, something big will be happening in North Clare. The picturesque village of Ballyvaughan will soon be the venue for an international event.
The BASF choir was founded in Ludwigshafen in 1892 and recruits
members not only from the BASF factory but from the whole area. All the talented
singers
from around Ludwigshafen seem to gravitate towards this outstanding lay choir
who have effortlessly proved their masterful singing skills on TV and radio
shows. They have traveled to Italy, Hungary, Switzerland, the Czech Republic – and
now Ireland - to sing songs from their wide and beautiful repertoire.
On the programme will be songs from musicals and films as well as classical
pieces.
