As a continuing part of the Aosdána/Clare County Libraries project to invite writers from Aosdána to read throughout the county, prominent novelist, publisher and poet, John F. Deane, who founded Dedalus Press in Dublin, will read at Ennistymon Library on March 9th, starting at 8.15.
Admission is free.

John F. Deane is a poet and novelist, born in Achill Island in 1943. Founder of the national organisation, Poetry Ireland and of the Poetry Ireland Review in 1979, he was a recipient of the O'Shaughnessy Award for Poetry in 1998. In 2001, he received a Marten Toonder Award and his collection of poems, 'Manhandling the Deity', was shortlisted for the T.S. Elito poetry prize in 2003. Prestigious British publishers Carcanet Press will bring out his 'Instruments of Art' collection of poems later this year.
