An Exhibition of recent work by Anna Hurley will open in Kenny's Art Gallery, Lahinch
on Monday 27th of August at
6:30p.m. and will run to Thursday the 6th of September.
Anna's interests lie in original experimentation with paint using colour and mathematical design, the might of the human form in motion, portraiture, landscape, and surrealism or dream images. This Exhibition will be stunning. Titles include 'Sports paintings', 'On the Burren', 'Memories of Lahinch', 'Achill, Co. Mayo' and 'Versailles, Paris'.
Anna attended the College of Art in Kildare St., Dublin where she won student of the year two years running. She also studied portraiture at Derby University College of Art. Anna has exhibited extensively in both the UK and Ireland and her paintings adorn homes and offices all over the world. Her work won the C.D.L. competition in Ireland and received prizes at both Derby Museum and Nottingham Castle Museum of D.H. Lawrence "Sons and Lovers" fame where she was chosen as
winner from a competition entry of over six million people.
