International Workshop Festival 2000

The International Workshop Festival provides an annual programme of workshops with visionary artists whose work and teaching is setting the international performing arts agenda.  The workshops are designed for professional artists who work in the performing arts such as artists, choreographers, dancers, designers, directors and teachers.  It provides an important training ground for whose who wish to learn new skills and methods of working, and an opportunity to work alongside some of the finest international artists in an environment where one can learn, exchange, refresh and enjoy.

The theme of the International Workshop Festival 2000 is 'Passages and Dialogues' with a variety of workshops in London, Coventry and Belfast.  The Belfast festival of workshops, discussions and demonstrations takes place in The Crescent Arts Centre from October 2nd to 6th led by the internationally renowned teachers Gabor Tompa, Frankie Anderson and David Zinder.

Gabor Tompa is Director of the Hungrarian State Theatre in Cluj and has gained a reputation as one of the world's most inspiring of theatre direction.  Frankie Anderson has been FoolTime's Director of Training since the school's inception and she has led workshops in the Clown and Fool, Movement and Acrobatics around the world.  David Ziner is an internationally know Director and Acting Teacher from Israel.  He has trained actors in the Michael Chekhov technique (physical theatre) throughout the world and his workshops are always in great demand.
