2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Clárú  Enrolment in Community Hall, Miltown Malbay. Enrolment also at the various venues on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. All Public Lectures and Recitals for the week will be held at Community Hall.
8:00 p.m. Oscailt  Official Opening by Francis McPeake, Director, Clonard School of Music, Belfast.
8:30 p.m. Breandán Breathnach Memorial Lecture: "Gaelic Song in Ireland and Scotland – a common heritage" by Ian Lee, Archivist and Producer R.T.E.

Dé Domhnaigh, 4ú Iúil (Sunday, 4rd July)

3:00 p.m. Musical Tribute at Willie Clancy’s Grave
9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Céilithe for set dancers will be held nightly at the Mill Theatre, Ballard Road, Miltown Malbay and Quilty Tavern, Quilty. Reduced price for registered students at all Céilithe from Monday to Saturday afternoon. These are the only official Céilithe conducted by the School.

Dé Luain, 5ú Iúil (Monday, 5th July)

All Classes and Workshops will be held daily from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday – Saturday.
Beginners may attend the Scope of Irish Music or the Traditional Singing Workshop or the Set Dancing Classes. There are no classes for beginners in instrumental music except on pipes. Classes will be graded in all instruments. In instrumental music the following will be the approximate number of graded classes: Piping 14; Whistle 14; Flute 14; Concertina 6; Accordion 6; Fiddle 30.

Piping Classes and Pipers Workshop in Social Services Centre, Ballard Road and Private Houses.
Whistle and Flute Classes in National School and St. Joseph’s G.A.A. Club House and in Private Houses.
Concertina Classes in National School.
Button Accordion Classes (double and single row) will be graded at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Spanish Point and allocated to various venues in Spanish Point afterwards.
Fiddle Classes at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Spanish Point. Workshops on West and East Clare fiddle styles will be held in addition to the regular fiddle classes and these workshops will cater only for advanced fiddle players. Demonstrations by noted fiddlers will be a feature of the fiddle tuition for the week.
Beginners: Steps for sets plus Polka and Ballinascarty Half-Set at Central Hall, Miltown Malbay.
Victora (North Cork / East Kerry), Polka Set (Ardgroom, Co. Cork) and Lancer Set (Windgap, Co. Kilkenny) at Golf Club, Spanish Point.
Labasheeda Reel Set, Black Valley Square Jig, West Kerry, Sliabh gCua at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Spanish Point.
Caledonian Set and Conamara Set at St. Joseph’s G.A.A., Miltown Malbay.
Orange and Green, Clare Lancers, Valentia Island right and left, Kenmare Polka Set, South Galway Reel Set at Community Hall, Miltown Malbay.
Two old style traditional step dancing classes at Quilty Tavern, Quilty. These classes will be graded.
Conamara Reel Set, Tyrawley Set, Fermanagh Set, in Mill Theatre, Ballard Road, Miltown Malbay.
Steps and rhythm of the Clare Set, Battering, etc. at Social Services Centre, Ballard Road, Miltown Malbay.
Traditional Singing Workshops at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Spanish Point.
These will take the form of lectures, group discussions, class participation and demonstrations by traditional singers in Irish and English. These workshops will be conducted by Ian Lee, Archivist, R.T.E. and Brian Mullan, B.B.C., Radio Foyle. These are not singing classes.
The Scope of Irish Music – a week-long introduction to the Irish musical tradition.
Paddy Glackin, renowned traditional fiddle player and Cathal Goan, an expert on traditional singing will conduct this course. During the course, masters of the fiddle, flute, whistle, concertina, uilleann pipes, dancing, and singing (in Irish and English) will demonstrate their crafts and discuss them with the students. This course will be held at the Library, St. Joseph’s, Spanish Point.

Public Lecture – "Irish Culture in Quebec – Irish influence on the French Canadian Tradition" by Joahanne Trew, Music Archivist, University of Limerick.
